Marble Collegiate Church Restoration

Restoration projects require precision and expertise – especially when the building features delicate plaster finishes. Let GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech protect your next historic restoration project.

As part of the restoration project at the Marble Collegiate Church (circa 1854) in New York City, GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech was retained to develop vibration criteria specific to protecting the plaster finishes during the church restoration. During planned roof truss and basement level rock removal activities, GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech provided both vibration and structural monitoring services. GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech also provided vibration monitoring on the plaster as well as crack displacement monitoring of existing plaster cracks. Tilt monitoring and strain monitoring were conducted at existing roof truss tie rods.
