GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech service centers repair and calibrate all of our instrumentation, whether new or old. SSU 2000DK and 3000 series instruments are repaired and checked for accuracy at our Warrendale service center. Everlert and MultiSeis seismographs are repaired and checked for accuracy at our Louisville service center.
Repairs include geophone cable and microphone cable changes. Transducer elements are tested and replaced as necessary. Microphone elements on all units are pressure checked for correct diaphragm operation and calibrated. We manufacture and maintain all accessories for your unit, from simple extension cables to sophisticated amplifiers.
We check each unit's electronic circuitry and compare it to reference levels. Manufacturer specifications are used in each calibration along with shake tables for accuracy. We ensure shake table accuracy with equipment outside calibrated to NIST and with internal laser inferometer use. The two procedures ensure the highest accuracy of our test equipment and your seismograph. Our evaluations far exceed those of our competitors' equipment. The pride we take in manufacturing and repairing your unit means that the records you make will be technically stable.
Service
GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech service centers are fully equipped to meet all customer needs. Our knowledgeable staff will answer technical questions related to the overall function and operation of our seismic monitors.
