It is critically important to analyze the stability of dams, earth retaining walls, embankments, landfills, open cuts and other earth structures under dynamic loads generated by construction activities such as blasting and pile driving. The stability of these structures is related to the shearing resistance of the soil supporting them. Sudden application of a shock will reduce the shearing resistance and may result in structural failure. GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech uses the Newton technique to calculate the dynamic load induced displacement. Based on the results of analysis, proper vibration criteria are established to prevent any damage to the structure due to the applications of dynamic load.
